Memor (memor.online) lets you write a letter now and have it emailed to someone on a date you choose. This page explains what we collect to do that, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
Your account. Your email address, your name and a password. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us. We never see your Google password.
Your letters. The recipient's name and email address, the name you sign with, your message, any files you attach, the delivery date and time zone, and whether and when the letter was opened.
Technical records. A short log of what happened to each letter (scheduled, sent, opened, cancelled, deleted), and the basic server logs our hosting provider keeps for security.
Letter messages are encrypted while they wait to be delivered. Attached files are kept in private storage outside the public website, so they can't be found by search engines or by guessing a web address. Each delivered letter has its own private link, and only someone holding that link can open the letter and its files.
We use your information only to run Memor: to keep your account, store and deliver your letters, tell you when a letter has been delivered or could not be delivered, and stop misuse. We don't sell your information and we don't use your letters for advertising.
Memor is hosted by Namecheap, and letters are sent from our own mail server on that hosting. If you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign in. We share information with others only if the law requires it.
A delivered letter and its files are deleted 30 days after delivery. Cancelled letters and letters that could not be delivered are deleted after 7 days. Website backups may hold a copy for a short time longer until they are replaced. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it.
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
We received your email address from the person who wrote to you. We use it only to deliver their letter. Every letter email has a "Don't send me letters" link, and once you use it nobody can send you a letter through Memor again.
You can cancel or delete your own letters from My letters. You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Email hello@memor.online and we'll reply within 30 days.
Memor is not for children under 16.
If we change this policy in an important way, we'll update the date at the top and tell account holders by email.
